Which shows fit this room

Conversations with fixed hosts and rotating guests, brand podcasts, research interviews and bilingual recordings where everyone sits at the table — that works well here. Since 2019 this studio has focused on compact formats, not arena shows.

Solo voice-over or sync for video is more efficient in the booth via voice-over recording. Music production and vocal sessions belong with vocal recording or mixing.

Minimum participant age 16 unless a supervised school project is agreed in advance.

Table and signal path

Up to 4 seats with dedicated mics; the live room is 26 m² with treatment against flutter and early reflections. Everyone sees each other and the engineer through glass or a monitor.

We keep gain staging consistent so tracks stay in sync later. Room tone stays dry; atmosphere is easier to add in post than to remove from the recording.

Rates and payment

All amounts include 21% VAT. Business invoicing with 14-day terms is available; net equivalents are on services.

A 30% deposit holds the room. Cancellation more than 7 days ahead follows our terms and conditions.

Basic editing versus full post

Hourly and per-episode rates include light editing: obvious flubs removed, long silences shortened, levels within sensible dynamics. No full sound design, no heavy denoise on street noise you brought in yourself.

Music beds, produced intros/outros, aggressive noise reduction or chapter markers for every platform are extra — agree before the session so your editor knows what arrives.

Raw multitracks only, no edit? Possible on hourly billing; the engineer still notes sync and filenames.

Prep for hosts and guests

Send a rundown with segment order, tricky names and language per participant. Have guests read our rights guide before arrival if you collect releases.

Avoid rustling clothes, jewellery on mics and eating on mic. Water is fine; ice in glasses clicks on tape.

We do not record Zoom guests in the same pass as in-room table guests — quality and sync diverge. Plan a separate remote workflow with your editor instead.

Delivery and file layout

Default 48 kHz, 24-bit WAV per stem plus a stereo mix. Filenames follow an episode or date convention we agree upfront. Delivery via download link; large seasons on SSD at pickup.

Metadata for Spotify or Apple Podcasts is added in your host; we do not upload feeds. Spoken loudness stays more conservative than dance masters — see mastering if you later integrate music.

Scheduling and revisions

We reply to new requests within 2 business days. Studio slots run Mon–Fri 10–19, Sat 11–17 (by appointment); evenings or Sundays only by explicit booking.

Technical revisions (mic dropout, wrong export) are handled within 2 rounds on the same recording. Editorial reworking of the conversation sits with your editor unless you book extra studio time.

The ten-episode bundle works best in blocks; scattered single hours cost more per effective minute.

Common combos and contact

Brands that also need jingles or voice-over sometimes combine voice-over with podcast days in one trip to Amsterdam. Music podcasts are welcome, but instruments in the live room need extra setup time — mention that in the briefing.
