What you are paying for
Mixing at Cijativojaconsulting is balance, dynamics and space for your recordings — not a single preset on the master bus. Published rates are €185 per track, €88 per hour when you attend in studio, and €540 for up to six songs. Amounts include 21 percent VAT as shown on the site.
The per-track fee assumes a typical pop or hip-hop single with reasonably organised multitracks. Extra time appears when every take has a different layout, when you expect dozens of vocal layers without guides, or when you request major arrangement changes after delivery. Then work shifts toward hourly billing or a custom quote.
Technical expectations live on mixing and balance. For scope questions, send your track list.
From recording to mix: deliverables
Export stems with readable names: «Kick», «Snare», «Bass DI», «Vox lead», not «Audio 47». Place a start marker at the same point in every file — bar one, downbeat — so import is fast. Prefer 24-bit WAV over heavily compressed MP3.
If you tracked here, we agree handover during the session. External recordings arrive via agreed upload or on SSD. We archive projects 12 months; keep your own copy too.
No vocals yet? Schedule vocal prep first so the mix is not waiting on new takes. Spoken projects use voice-over recording rates instead of these music mix fees.

The table is a planning aid, not an automatic quote. When in doubt we run a short intake: track count, genre, deadline and whether you attend.
Revisions and scope
Standard delivery includes 2 revision rounds after the first mix, focused on balance, EQ, compression and spatial issues — not a full arrangement rebuild. Send bundled notes by email with timestamps («1:42 — vocal slightly warmer») instead of scattered messages over weeks.
If you keep adding instruments after round two, we treat it as new work at hourly or per-track rates. That stops an EP budget becoming an open-ended project.

Mastering and downstream spend
Mix and master are separate lines. Mastering here starts at €98 per track or €395 for up to twelve songs. Budget separately; a mix that is already limiter-heavy leaves less headroom for mastering.
Read mastering file formats before you demand deliverables. Streaming, vinyl and broadcast sometimes need different files — stem masters are €145 per deliverable.
If you master elsewhere with an online service, say so upfront. We can print a mix without extra loudness chasing so your chain is not fighting ours.
Timeline and studio hours
Allow at least 2 business days between quote and start when material is not yet checked. Attended mixes book inside Mon–Fri 10–19, Sat 11–17 (by appointment) by appointment; include travel to Overtoom 141 — The studio is on Overtoom in Oud-West. Trams 1 and 12 serve the Overtoom (Vondelpark) stop; from there it is about a five-minute walk. You can lock your bike at the racks along Overtoom in front of the building.
Peak periods around Dutch festival season fill quickly. Rush is sometimes possible only with complete stems and compact feedback. Without that, someone else waits and quality slips.

Save money without cutting corners
Consolidate vocals before export: one lead plus labelled doubles saves hours versus twenty raw takes with no choice. Mute amp sims on guitar DI if you re-amp later; that keeps noise out of the mix.
Send one reference that matches your goal — not a random hit «to make it huge». One clear reference per song is enough; more references often confuse.
For spoken shows with light dynamics work, podcast recording with basic editing can cost less than a full music mix.
